On Thursday 10th October the Club kept the bowls in the cupboard as it celebrated it's 25th anniversary.
There were forty two of the Club's members present at the event which included ten Founder Members.
Following an initial informal reception period the members were seated and treated to a two course meal provided by outside caterers. Drinks to accompany the meal were also provided.
After the meal Diane Orrin, the Club Chairperson, said a few words including her thanks to all who had contributed to the organisation of the evening. Peter Orrin reminded the members that Diane was appointed Chairperson at the first AGM of the Club and has held that position ever since.
A cake cutting ceremony was performed by Diane Orrin and the baker of the two cakes, Diane Reeves.
A four sided document prepared by Peter Orrin was distributed to members which gave a comprehensive time line of the activities and achievements of the Club over the past 25 years. All members were also given an inscribed pen as a momento of the evening.
