The Essex Carpet Bowls Association held their annual Singles Competition at Great Bentley on Sunday 8th February 2026.
Three members of our Club took part, Greg King, Lin Hill and Peter Orrin.
It was a slowish start by Peter, who qualified for the quarter finals as one of the two best runners up but then showed his true colours and went on to win 7-3 in the quarter finals and 8-5 in the semi's.
In a close fought final Peter overcame his opponent Robert Myall to win 7-5.
