The annual "Best Team in Essex" competition took place on Sunday 26th April at the Gt Bentley Community Centre.
The competition involves the winners of the five district leagues within Essex playing against each other in the usual two pairs and two fours format in four sessions throughout the day.
The Highwoods Team, represented on the day by 14 of the regular team members, got off to a great start by winning 7 of the eight points available in the first session. This good form continued throughout the day, ending with a resouding win against strong opposition and finishing 7 points ahead of the runners up.
Well done to everyone involved on the day and throughout the season.
